I washed and cut off the ends of my clearance green beans then put them in a frying pan with onions, garlic and about a tablespoon of olive oil. Add some salt and pepper and cook them at medium temperature till they're tender yet still have a little crunch.
I cooked the chicken in a frying pan as well with garlic, onion, and just a little olive oil. The chicken is seasoned with salt, pepper, and cajun seasoning, then grilled to perfection. I always cut through a piece to make sure it's finished; we don't want any contamination.
After the chicken was thoroughly cooked, I cut it into smallish pieces.
After this, I heated up another pan and buttered one side of each of the two slices of bread then put one slice of bread in the pan. Then, I put half of a slice of havarti cheese on the bottom, the grilled chicken, then the other half of the slice of cheese, then the other slice of bread.. flip it, add romaine like I did, or any of your other favorite sandwich toppers, but be sure to do it before the cheese is no longer melted.
This is such an easy meal to make, and what's left of the chicken that you didn't use for the sandwich can easily be used to make a sandwich the next day or a wrap or to top a salad!
